Socks

I remember that you should be in Las Vegas or somewhere this week? Stateside
at least... such a shame that you are so close, yet so far away. As I type,
my baby is playing with her toys on the floor beside me. She has a green
dinosaur that has big plastic rings in his hands, red and orange stripes on
his tummy, a crazy smile below huge bug eyes, and crinkly plastic beneath
the cloth on his arms that sounds like a bag of potato chips being opened
when you grab him. Right now, she has him pinned in a wrestling move as she
gnaws on his rings. With one arm she has him by the hair on his head,
banging his head into the floor. I see his striped tummy under her elbo and
hear the crinkling of potato chip bags. She's only wearing one sock- always
only one sock as she likes to put her right foot in her mouth and tug the
sock off. She can now sit up by herself, and roll down onto her tummy to
grab at things, but can't quite crawl yet. Oh those grabby hands!
Everything in reach goes into her mouth for exploration. She gums an
object, than bangs it on something before hurling it away and turning her
attention to a new victim. Everyday she develops new skills. She's
amazing.
So that's what I've been doing. I play with Zoe, feed her, put her down for
a nap and do a little work on the computer, then play, watch feed and try to
do something else while she naps. And time ticks by.
I hope you're well, write when you can.
